Programme "Apprentices recruit apprentices" visits PRESTO

A very large number of interested young people came to get information, try out things and discuss. 35 exhibitors offered information, films and activities and took care of about 600 pupils. In addition the young visitors of the apprenticeship fair could have their job application papers checked, do recruitment tests and meet real HR officers to practise apprentice interviews.

This event is an integral part of the vocational orientation programme in the region south of Osnabrück where pupils from year 8 on have the opportunity to get to know enterprises from the area and the apprenticeships that they offer. "The reason of this fair's success is that apprentices and pupils meet each other at eye level", said district director Michael Lübbersmann during the opening ceremony in the morning. "The run at the event and the enthusiasm were a pleasant surprise for us, and we hope that the pupils could get an insight into a large number of vocations."
